Bayern: Pep There will Join the club like City
Munich – Bayern Munich coach Josep Guardiola linked with a move to Manchester City at the end of the season. Bayern is not concerned with these issues but also confident Guardiola will not join City.
City reportedly is looking for a new manager to replace Manuel Pellegrini, who in this season failed to bring the City won a single title. Name, Guardiola in the list of candidates along with other famous names such as Juergen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti.
Guardiola became a figure that makes it possible to dock at the Etihad, given the City has Txixi Begiristain. Begiristain worked with Guardiola while still dealing with Barcelona.
However, Guardiola had revealed plans to remain coach of Bayern until his contract runs out in the summer of 2016. Bayern hopes to extend the stay of the Catalan coach.
“I’m not worried. The rumor that just shows the quality of our coach,” said Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Bild reported ESPNFC.
“I also know that Begiristain worked with Pep in Barcelona (as director of football until 2010). But I can not imagine Pep Guardiola will join a club like Manchester City.”
“I know for sure that he still will be our coach until at least, June 30, 2016,” said Rummenigge.
“We had a deal. We will end this season and we will speak in the second half of 2015. Our goal is to extend the contract of Pep Guardiola and I think we have a good chance to defend him after 2016.”
