Messi ‘The Waiter’ Hailed by Enrique
Bilbao – Lionel Messi is not only good at scoring goals, but also okay to be “servants” by providing assists. Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique, said he was happy to see this.
Messi took part when Barcelona won 5-2 over Athletic Bilbao at San Mames on Monday (9/2) pm dawn. The victory itself means important for Barca. They are now close up the difference with Real Madrid to one point only.
In the game, Messi scored one goal and contributed two assists. The record makes him now carve five goals and four assists in his last five games in all competitions.
Total, this season Messi has played 22 times in La Liga. Of the number of appearances, he scored 23 goals and added 12 assists. Messi is now leading scorer list most assists in La Liga this season.
The number of his 12 assists to surpass Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez, and Denis Cheryshev (equally incised 9 assists), as well as Karim Benzema and Koke (incised 8 assists).
“It is a distinct advantage had a player like Messi,” said Enrique as reported by the US.
