Guardiola: Bayern Not Back to Best Performance
Stuttgart – Bayern Munich finally won his first victory in 2015 after the previous two games failed to win. However, Bayern coach Pep Guardiola calls have not been returned to peak performance.
Bayern took home maximum points from a trip to the Mercedes-Benz-Arena, home of VfB Stuttgart on Saturday (07/02/2015). Die Roten subjecting Stuttgart 2-0. Two goals for the visitors created by Arjen Robben and David Alaba.
For Bayern, this is their first three points after the competition rolling again after the winter break. In the previous two games, they were beaten Wolfsburg 1-4 and draw with Schalke 04 1-1.
“This game runs hard and we are not on top of our game. The quality of Arjen Robben and David Alaba made the difference today,” Guardiola said after the match, as reported by the official club website.
“These results are important because we are preparing to face Hamburg and Donetsk. But, we need to clean up and get back to the level we were before,” he added.
“I strongly believe in this team,” said Guardiola.
Bayern still lead the Bundesliga standings with a collection of 49 points from 20 matches. Their eight-point lead over Wolfsburg who are in the second position.
